Hello PreAP scholars!!! This is your first Blog of the year!!! Instructions: All blogs must be written in complete sentences and in paragraph form. Please do not forget to type your name so I will know who's blog to grade. Answer the following questions below. 1. Explain using your words how to convert the number in scientific notation to the left into standard notation. 2. If the exponent was negative, how would the standard notation change? |

You have to put a decimal in between the numbet that less than 1 greater than 1 and less than 10. Then you count the numbers out by going to the left until you get to the decimal. Last how many times you go over to the decimal you put 10 then multiply

First you have to put the decimal that is greater than 1 but less than 10 so after the 2 you'll put 23 zeros It would change you'll put 23 zeros in front of the 6 so instead of regular 23 it would be negative 23

First u need to place the decimal between the number that is less than 10 but greater than 1.How many number's it takes to get to the decimal u write that with 10 then make the number a negative.

If the exponent was negative.. U count the places in front of the decimal from the right.. Put ten then the number u got.

1. You move the decimal to the right. You would move it 23 times since 23 is the exponent.

You got to put the 23 zeros because you have 6.022 times 10 23 and if its negative you put it to the right

1. Well first you have to move the decimal to the number that is greather than 1 but less than ten in this case it is to the right 23 times.

1.If you wanted to convert 6.022 into standard notation, you would have to move the decimal 23 times to the right.

You would move the decimal to the right 23 times if the exponent was positive.

If it was negative you will put the numbers to the far right and put the decimal at the far left . Then just count how many spaces in both decimals that's your power, but it will be negative

you first have to check the zero and move it to the right for example 539,000,000 you have to make it into a fraction so it will be 5.39 then x 10 that's the base and then the exponents is 8 so its 5.39 x 10 the exponents is 8... but you move 23 times to the right then add the decimals

You move the decimal 23 times to the right because 23 is the exponent to the left

You get the decimal in the coefficient and move it 23 places to the right. And if it was negative you would move the decimal 23 places to right. :)

At the last part I meant to say 23 places to the LEFT. :)

You have to put the decimal where it is more than one and less than ten. Then you have to do 5.39 times ten .Then you move the decimal 23 times to the right

You just have to add zero behind the number the times It asked u so its 6.022 add twenty three zeros so 6.02200000000000000000000000

To perform scientific notation for the problem u would have to turn the standard notation into a multiple of ten and make it between one and ten but no more and no less.If the exponet was negative then you'd have to do the scientific notation but the exponet would be negative and you'd have to put zeros in front of it to make it negative.

well since it is multiplied by 10 with the exponent 23 you would move the decimal to the right 23 times. if it was negative we would move the decimal to the left 23 times

1. All u got to do is put 6.022 then add 20 other 0's behind it.
